Elliott Andrews began playing drums professionally after studying music at the 'Brighton Institute of Modern Music'. During his time of study, he recorded a few sessions with various guitar magazines and bands local to Brighton. After graduation, he went on to drum with Brighton band, The Maccabees. He toured the U.K and Europe and recorded on their debut record 'Colour It In' which was recorded by producer Ben Hillier (Blur, The Futureheads, The Horrors etc...) whilst playing with 'The Maccabees' Kate saw a few gigs and got in touch with Elliott through a mutual friend. He began playing with Kate on her first U.K. Tour which was interspersed with recording her debut album 'Made of Bricks' with Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Maximo Park, The Rakes...) after extensive touring and an appearance on Jools Holland, the album debuted at number one. Elliott is about to embark on a tour of Australia for the 'Big Day Out' tour and Japan soon after.
