Mr. Ahn has earned the respect of musicians as well as drummers from teaching for over 15 years at the major music schools in Korea. He learned to drum at the age of five from his father who played the drums for the House Band of the U.S. Army in Korea. By age nine he was selected by the Baby Show Band and was performing for the U.S. Army. By the time he was eleven, he had a God-given opportunity at a jazz club to play a drum solo before the legendary Art Blakey who visited Korea. The encounter with Art was such an inspiration to him, and it is still alive in him to this day.

In 1994 he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ecole de Musique de SAINT BRICE in France, completing his coursework in only three years.
