Binzer is a popular drummer in demand on the Irish circuit.
Having established himself in the early nineties with The Frames (Glen Hansard / Once), he then went on to carve himself a successful career as an independent drummer amongst the rising talent of Irish acts.
He regularly tours and records with Mundy who was featured on the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack, and has had top ten singles July and Healthy.
Bell-x1, who formed from the ashes of Damien Rice's old band employed the drumming skills of Binzer to help them re-invent themselves in this new incarnation. He toured and recorded two records with them over a four year period and they are now recognised on the international circuit.
In 2003 he returned to The Frames camp as a session drummer to help them with promotional duties. He spent much of the year touring the U.S., Canada, and Australia extensively.
Longtime drumming buddy Graham Hopkins (Therapy?, Delores O Riordan) got Binzer to take up the sticks for his solo project Halite. Being the opening band for Slane 2003 with an unbelievable line up of drummers, a clinic was organised entitled Slane drummers. Both Binzer and Graham performed at the clinic alongside Mark Richardson (Feeder), Joey Castillo (Queens of the Stone Age), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers).
His most recent project is a hard hitting three piece band entitled Concerto for Constantine.
Being labeled as somewhat of a supergroup, the band includes members of successful rock act JJ72 and Scotttish rockers Idlewild. It's early days yet, but the band look forward to recording their debut album early this year.
Other things to look forward to in 2008 is the release of The Martin Staunton Band's, debut album which Binzer recorded in summer 2007. They have already won over the heart of many Irish dj's with their first single. Also, Scott Maher's second album and Joe Chester's, all due for release in 2008, along with a tour with Gemma Hayes in April/May, meaning plenty of live performance and promotional dutie for Binzer...
Always in and out of recording studios and venues Binzer busy's himself sessioning for local and international acts. Also providing backing for acts performing on the nations television network R.T.E.
