One of the most exciting and dynamic drummers of all time, Dennis Chambers is just as happy to lay down the deepest of grooves as he is to turn on the flame thrower. Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to play impossibly clean and fast singlestrokes round the kit, Dennis Chambers picked up the torch from the legendary Fusion drummers of the early seventies like Billy Cobham, Lenny White and Narada Michael Walden.
Blessed with the type of chops that can only have come from a higher source and the kind of "groove" that only comes from nine years on the road with George Clinton, Dennis now has his own legions of followers and is one of THE most inflencial drummers of the past ten years. If you need more proof, just ask Carlos Santana, who had Dennis become the band's official drummer after their 2002 summer tour.
Dennis was instrumental in the development of Zildjian's unique "Crash Of Doom" and in 2003 Dennis, worked with Zildjian's R&D team to help develop the K Custom Fast Crash cymbals.
Most recently, Dennis recieved his Honorary Doctorate from Berkelee College of Music during the innaguration of new Berklee President, Roger Brown. Congratulations Dennis!
"I've been playing Zildjians all my life. I like the K's and now K Customs. I love their real dark, warm sound. It's a sound that's hard to duplicate. Each K has a different personality." Dennis also uses Zildjian Dennis Chambers Artist Series Drumsticks and his Zildjian DC Double Mallets.
