Walter Calloni moved his first steps into the Milan area when he was a teenager. He recorded with Eugenio Finardi at the age of 16 and with Lucio Battisti at 18.
He performed in Cuba with Mauro Pagani and Demetrio Stratos in 1978, then he worked in the US with Mike Fraser, Anthony Rutherford Mimms, Average, White Band and Namy Hackett. He came back to Italy in 1980 and he started palying with PFM.
He recorded and palyed with tons of big musicians like Fabrizio De Andrè, Dario Fo, Enzo Jannacci, Giorgio Gaber, Ivano Fossati, Ivan Graziani, Roberto Vecchioni, Antonello Venditti, Adriano Celentano, Pino Daniele, Alberto Fortis, Franco Battiato, Ornella Vanoni, Gianna Nannini, and many many others.
He’s now playing with the drum ensamble, La Drummeria, and with the band Elisir.
He has a 20 years experience as a teacher at CPM in Milan, and now at Borgo della Musica.
