Dídak Fernández studied at L'Aula de Música Moderna i Jazz de Barcelona and at L'Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).
He continues to work with artists such as Macaco, Ayala, Nubla, and Eltercerhombre, among others.
With Macaco he has toured the United States, Australia, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Morocco.
He has performed or recorded with the following artists and groups: Macaco, Manolo García, Gary Willis, Jules Bikôkô, Nubla, Pep Perez Cucurella, Asstrio, The Funklab, The Pinkertones, Roy Paci, Manu Guix, Gossos, and Rhys Chatham.
He has performed in the following festivals and clubs: Oslo World Music Festival, Sydney Festival, Viñarock, Voices of Spain (NY), Festival Mestizaje, Culture Festival Stockholm, Lowlands Festival, Etnival, Festival de Percussió de Catalunya, B-Estival, Aguaviva, Cruïlla de Cultures, Eclèctic, Concierto por la PAZ (with Bob Dylan), Festival de Jazz de Terrassa, Festival de Jazz de Reus, Festival de Jazz de Banyoles, Festival de Jazz de Música Creativa de Ciutat Vella, Jamboree Jazz Club, and Harlem Jazz Club.
Dídak Fernández plays GMS Drums and Zildjian Cymbals.
