Justin Foley began playing drums in 1989, but did not receive any formal musical training until he entered the University of Connecticut in 1995 as a music performance major with an emphasis on percussion. After UConn, he continued his studies at the Hartt School of Music, earning a masters degree in percussion performance in 2001. Justin's performance resume began with local CT symphony orchestras, and from 1994-2001 Justin performed with recording artists “Red Tideâ€, releasing two albums on their label, Encrypted Records. His next move was joining Ferret Records artists “Blood Has Been Shed†and spending time with them on two US tours and in the studio recording their album “Spirals†in 2003. And most recently, Justin has joined the Massachusetts-based metalcore band Killswitch Engage, and just in time to co-headline the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Tour. With the release of their forthcoming album titled “As Daylight Diesâ€, KSE has proven to be one of the most influential and inspirational forces in modern music. Currently, Justin is a member of both “Killswitch Engage and Blood Has Been Shed, and he continues to perform with Connecticut-area symphonies when he is not on the road.
