Hey There, Welcome to my Mark Greenberg page. Here's a little bit about me. I was born in CT. At age 14, while picking tobacco, (yes I picked tobacco in CT) I decided that I was going to play drums. I must have really liked it. I practiced a ton. In a short amount of time I ended up playing in the CT Regional & All State Bands then on to the McDonald's All American Marching & Jazz Bands. Because of those experiences, having been able to play with some incredible musicians at such a young age, I decided to make music my career. I packed up my drums and went to Boston to study music at the world reknown Berklee College of Music. While I was there, I got to play again with some of the finest musicians in the world. At the same time, I was recognized by The National Endowment for the Arts with three fellowship grants, some Berklee Scholarships and other awards. I also played in the Disney All American College Bands for two summers. While in college I was able to study closely with teacher like Ed Soph, Alan Dawson, Gary Chaffee, Ian Froman & Joe Hunt. These teachers really helped me shape my sound and creative ideas. As a professional drummer and producer, my career has taken all over the world with a lot of different artists ranging the spectrum of styles from rock to jazz, blues to funk, and even some classical. I have had the good fortune of sharing the stage and/or recording with artists like: Dickey Betts & Great Southern (The Allman Brothers Band), The Dave Matthews Band, Roomful Of Blues, Ronnie Earl, Bob Weir & Ratdog, Jimmy McGriff, Lee Roy Parnell, Billy Bob Thorton, Moe., Tongue n' Groove (Deep Banana Blackout), Roy Hargrove, The Doobie Brothers, The Charlie Daniels Band, Larry Coryell, Joss Stone, Bill Simms, Pimp The Cat, The Dana Fuchs Band, and many others. I am also leading the Sunday Night Bitter End All Star Jam in NYC. This is a great hang! Even with all of that, I have managed to make time to nurture acting career which has already landed me on the nationally syndicated TV show "Conviction" and inspired me to become a screenwriter and reality TV series producer. I owe a great deal of thanks to my parents for their unwavering support and inspiration and to Mr. Ohshima Shihan of Shotokan Karate of America for his guidance and wisdom. Thanks for stopping by.
