Roger Guth has been playing drums in the Coral Reefer band backing songwriter Jimmy Buffett since 1989. Originally from the St. Louis area, Roger now resides with his family in Nashville TN. He has co written scores of popular Buffett releases, and his writing credits also include Vanessa Williams' "Moonlight Over Paris" and PM's Top 10 hit on Warner Bros., "Piece of Paradise". In early 1998, Roger released his first solo CD entitled "Scotch".
Roger Guth and Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band continue to be the perennial summer concert experience, and their 2004 summer tour included major baseball stadiums around the US. In 2004 Roger recorded Jimmy's hit record "License To Chill", as well as his second solo CD "Cowboy Ballet". He can also be heard on CDs by fellow Buffett band mate Peter Mayer's "Music Box" and Mac McAnally's "Semi-True Stories".
Roger plays an array of A Custom cymbals.
