Patrick Hollenbeck was a student of Vic Firth and a Leonard Bernstein Fellow at Tanglewood. He has a 25 year association with the Boston Pops as a percussionist and orchestrator and has performances and recordings with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Ballet. He has recorded with conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Charles Dutoit, Bernard Haitink, Keith Lockhart, Seiji Ozawa and John Williams. Major motion pictures orchestrations include "Mystic River" for Clint Eastwood, "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." Additional orchestrations for TV and recording include the Grammy nominated "Celtic Album" for the Boston Pops, London Symphony, George Russell, Patti Labelle, Gil Shaham, James Taylor, Cyndi Lauper and the Chieftains. Former department chair/faculty New England Conservatory National Endowment for the Arts recipient, Spaulding Prize (Tanglewood,) Young Artist Concerto competition winner (Tanglewood,) New England Conservatory Concerto competition winner, Outstanding composer/arranger Notre Dame Jazz Festival, Downbeat Magazine recording competition.
