Muryelle Legare has been the principal percussionist with the Qubec Symphony Orchestra since 1987. She has also performed as timpanist for the Orchestre de Chambre Gilles Auger, the Orchestre de Chambre of Radio-Canada, the Orchestre de Chambre Les violons du Roy and the Pops Philarmonique of Quebec. She has appeared on numourus radio and TV programs, as well as recordings with the Qubec Symphony Orchestra. She is an active educator and was a member of the percussion faculty at the Notre-Dame de Foy School of Music, the Universite laval, the Quebec Conservatory of Music and the Universite laval.
Muryelle Legare has studied percussion and timpani with the Mr. Louis Charbonneau, Mr. Serge Laflamme, Mr. Andre Gosselin and Mr. Roger Juneau. Her awards and degrees include First prize in percussion of The Quebec Conservatory of Music, D.E.S. (Diplome d'etudes superieures) in 1979 and D.E.C (Diplome d'etudes Collegiales) in 1978.
