Dave McClain joined Machine Head in 1996 after a stint in Sacred Reich. He's recorded and toured with Machine Head, starting with their 2nd record "The More Things Change" and the follow up's, "The Burning Red" and "Supercharger."

Machine Head released "Through the Ashes of Empires" to critical acclaim in 2004 and their tour schedule included co-headlining the International Road Rage tour. Their next record, "The Blackening" was released in early 2007 and was met with even bigger critical and fan acclaim. They spent 3 years touring with Metallica, Slipknot, Lamb of God and many others after the release of "The Blackening."

Machine Head are currently in the studio recording their next album.
