In Case of Fire hail from Northern Ireland, with Colin's brother Steven on vocals/guitar and Mark Williamson on bass, their debut album, Align the Planets, was released in May 2009.
In 2008, the trio won MTV2's 'Spanking New' competition, beating the competition to be the 'viewer's choice of bands to watch in 2008.'
Earlier this year, they opened the 2009 Kerrang! Tour, supporting amongst others Bring Me The Horizon. They have just picked up the 2009 Kerrang! Award for 'Best British Newcomer.'
Colin says: "I've always played Zildjian cymbals since I first started drumming. My drum teacher used them and lots of my early favourite drummers like Matt Cameron and Taylor Hawkins were Zildjian endorsees. There's something about Zildjian cymbals that sets them apart from the other brands, it's not just the name and the prestige, but the way they play and the range of sounds available. I don't ever think a drum kit looks complete unless it has Zildjians on it.
I'm extremely honoured to be joining up with Zildjian and I feel like the hard work that I've put in and that our band has put in as a whole is beginning to pay off. I think Zildjian will benefit from having a drummer on board from one of the newest and hopefully most original British rock bands around. I just hope that I can repay that faith by continually improving my playing and working hard to make sure that other kids might look at my kit and then decide that Zildjian is the only way to go."
