Coming from a family of musicians, Jun Regalado started his career as a professional drummer at age 14. His father is Nemesio Regalado, Sr., a famous clarinetist and bandleader in the 50s and 60s, and his mother is Martha Vito, a pianist, both came from Pakil, Laguna. He was given the Most Outstanding Musician award by the Katha in 1998.
