Nick Stoup is the Principal Percussionist and Assistant timpanist with the Palau des les Arts Orchestra in Valencia, Spain. Nick grew up in the Los Angeles area and has played with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He holds his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the Juilliard School and while living in New York, played in the musical "Caroline, or Change" on Broadway, as well as subbing with the New York Philharmonic. Internationally, he has played at The Lucerne Festival in Switzerland with Pierre Boulez, The Royal Proms in London, the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan, and the Spoleto Festival in Italy. Nick has recorded for many artists including Ron Trent, and the New York New Music ensemble.
