Paolo Serafini was born in Pisa, Italy, grew up in Germany where he attended the Munich International School, and continued his education in London, England at the renowned music school, Drumtech. He began hitting on drums at an early age by watching his brother and father make music.
However his first passions was theatre, which was quickly usurped by music when he graduated from high school and decided to take his first drum lesson. His first schooling took place at the Munich Jazz School, which he attended for one year and decided to move to London to further his education in music. Since having received his Bachelor degree in Music, he has toured extensively and recorded with several artists.
In 2002 he joined the band Livingston and has since played in over 100 cities in Europe, recorded in Spain, the U.S.A and Germany, and has opened for several support acts around Europe such as, The Duke Spirit, Simple Minds, Ich und Ich, Revolverheld, and Unheilig. In 2009, Livingston signed their first worldwide major deal with Universal Germany. The band's first album, Sign Language, was a commercial success and they have just finished recording their second album with producer David Botrill (Peter Gabriel, Tool, Muse).
