Joe Travers was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and attended Berklee College of Music. He has previously performed with Billy Idol, The Motels, The Wilsons, Duran Duran, and Z (Ahmet & Dweezil Zappa). He has been part of the Zappa family for over ten years now and is also performing with Lisa Loeb. His influences are: John Bonham and all of Frank Zappa's drummers.
His recent discography includes: 2004 releases by Dweezil Zappa and Lisa Loeb, and Bryan Beller - View (2003).
