Soul Toul is one of Japan's most outstanding drummers. His activities range from traditional Japanese music to contemporary rock and punk, as well as being credited on Orchestral pieces.
He started playing in marching bands at the age of 5 and turned professional at 15. Since then he has played with most Pop and Rock musicians in Japan with particular emphasis on bands such as B'z, Complex and Robots. Orchestral pieces include collaborations with the Kunagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.
He recently combined rock music with traditional instruments while working with the Tsugaru-Shamisen duo, and formed a band with TM Stevens, releasing their first album at the end of 2002.
