Fresh off the gig of a lifetime, Kenny Aronoff talks about the star-studded "We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial."
"Everybody's bundled up in winter clothes...when we did the sound checks for the first day set up for recording there, it was 14 degrees onstage," he tells us. "I think the peak was Friday night, (rehearsing) with Jon Bon Jovi and Bettye LaVette. It was minus two below zero."
The freezing cold was tough on singers' pipes -- and made some things impossible. Josh Groban's violin accompaniment had to be taped beforehand because "if it's below 60 degrees, strings go out of tune," Aronoff explains.
