The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Day Of Percussion was an event that took place Feb. 7 and combined performances of various Middle School, High School, and College percussion ensembles as well as clinics by various artists from different walks of life in the percussion world. Concert percussionist/ Marimbist's Rick Puzzo and Dennis DeLucia offered wonderful information regarding the field of marching percussion. Tommy Igoe gave a great clinic regarding Jazz, Rock and Latin styles of drumming while using his Groove Essentials series as a teaching tool. Carmine Appice gave an exhilarating clinic on rock drumming. Both drum set clinics ended with a standing ovation.
