Each year the Zurich Music School for the Youth runs an event dedicated to different musical instrument. This year it was Percussion's turn.
The event was attended by over 300 students and attracted the attention of Radio, TV and major Swiss media.
In celebration, Zildjian artist Fritz Hauser, known for his incredible solo performances around the world, conducted a piece that he composed titled "The Wave." Normally featuring up to 50 cymbals, a gong and tympani, Fritz extended the performance to include 200 students playing a total of 400 cymbals in this one performance piece.
The performance has been submitted to the Guinness book of records as the most amount of cymbals played in one piece and the Conservatory are currently awaiting verification.
