Vince Wilburn and Miles from India Play at Montreal Jazz Fest

Nephew of the late Miles Davis, Vince Wilburn held the drum chair in Miles' band from 1984-1987.

Currently, Vince is touring with the Miles tribute band, Miles From India (Including Darryl Jones on bass in Montreal and also the next stop on the tour takes them to Budapest, Hungary in August) and is in the process of creating a remix, hi-hop tribute album to his Uncle, Miles Davis. The group played to a sell-out crowd at this year's Montreal Jazz Fest.

Vince has performed with many notable artists such as AL7 (which featured its core rhythm section on Miles' 1981 comeback album), Ramsey Lewis, Oscar Brown Jr., and Cameo. Vince owns and manages his own production company, Nefdrum Productions, whose recordings feature artists such as Billy Preston, Darryl Jones, Charley Drayton, Ivan Neville, Ray Parker Jr., Wah Wah Watson, Freddie Washington, Randy Hall, and Phil Upchurch.
