Re-united British boy-band, Take That, made history in the UK when their concert tour, The Circus Live, hit a new all time UK/Ireland record attendance of over one million fans.
In total 1,109,160 tickets sold out in record time for the 20 shows on the Tour, starting on 5 June 2009 and finishing on 5 July 2009. This remarkably averaged out at almost 55,500 people at each show...the grand finale being the four shows at London Wembley Stadium, two of which were filmed for a future DVD/Blu-Ray release.
The £10 million "The Circus Tour," promoting their fifth studio album "The Circus", was full of Big Top delights, including a huge hot-air balloon in the centre stage, a giant circus tent as main stage, a high wire trapeze artist between both stages, a giant mechanical elephant, dancers, acrobats, jugglers and clowns handing out helium balloons.
Donavan Hepburn, having toured with the band on the Ultimate Tour in 2006, was once again the lucky drummer for the gig.
Donavan says:
"A stadium tour with Take That is the stuff dreams are made of. It was one of my greatest experiences, to be a part of something so big. Playing at Wembley Stadium was without a doubt the highlight for me, 80,000 screaming fans your heart is in your mouth the whole time."Donavan's cymbal set-up for the tour was
