Created by Yamaha in 1998 the "Asia Beat" competition is now one of the biggest amateur band competitions in Asia.
The finals of the Chinese competition took place in Shanghai this August 22th, 2009. Co organized by Modern Player Media, the event saw bands from 30 cities in China compete.
This year's China winners were G-Eleven and their drummer received the "Best Drummer Award" with a Zildjian prize comprising of a set of A Custom cymbals and Travis Barker Artist Series drumsticks, seen here presented by Kim Pang, Zildjian's Regional Sales Manager for Asia Pacific.
