The 7th Annual "Doug Flutie Jr. STRIKE OUT AUTISM" event was held at the Lucky Strike Lanes in Boston on January 11th. The foundation has been raising money for over ten years through the hard work of Doug Flutie and his foundation.
Their mission is: "To support families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are committed to increasing awareness of the challenges of living with autism and helping families find resources to help address those challenges. We provide individuals with autism and their families an opportunity to improve their quality of life by funding educational, therapeutic, recreational and advocacy programs."
The event was held from 6:00pm to 11:00pm at the Lucky Strike Lanes and hosted by Boston based Channel Five's Mike Dowling. Bowling with various sports personalities followed hors d'oeuvres and balloon raffles that offered many prizes from various businesses. A silent auction was held and the Flutie Brothers Band featured Doug on drums.
Zildjian's donation of a Z3 18" Crash was autographed by the band and placed among other silent auction items.
