Dr. Michael Gould presented drum set and creativity master classes to the University of Tennessee at Martin percussion studio (Dr. Julie Hill, host) on March 22, 2010. Gould was assisted by bassist Andrew Kratzat. Additionally, Gould and Kratzat performed a concert with Argentinian guitarist/physicist Dr. Alberto Rojo at Brandy's Sweet Talk on March 21st.
On March 22, Rojo presented a talk on "The Art of Physics" to Physics/Engineering students. Later, Rojo conducted a workshop on the intersection of music, literature, and physics using Borges' "The Garden of Forking Paths" to students in English and Modern Foreign Languages. This cross curricular event was sponsored by the UTM College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the Department of English and Modern Foreign Languages along with Zildjian, Innovative Percussion, and Yamaha.
