Kerrang!, the world's biggest selling weekly rock magazine, held their 16th annual Kerrang! Awards at East London's The Brewery, on 29 July 2010, With a reputed 8,000 bottles of booze on-hand and the biggest names in rock and metal today all ready to party...it was one hell of a night!
Congratulations to Moose with Bullet For My Valentine who took home the biggest Awards of the night for 'Best Live Band' and for the 3rd year running the 'Best British Band,' making them the most successful act of all time in that category. All in all a nice follow-up to picking up the Metal Hammer Golden God Award for the Best British Band earlier this year too. The band's third album, Fever, was released on April 26, 2010 and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and they have just announced details of their first UK Arena Tour kicking off in early December...happy days!
Similarly, following on from their recent Metal Hammer Golden God Award for Best British Newcomer, Rise To Remain with Pat Lundy on drums (watch this space for more details on Pat being welcomed to the Zildjian family of Artists) were awarded the Kerrang! Award for Best British Newcomer. The band are currently in the studio recording their debut album with Colin Richardson, who has produced albums for the mighty Bullet For My Valentine, Machine Head and Funeral For A Friend.
