Zildjian recently partnered with In Tune Monthly Magazine to award a school in the US with the "Ultimate Music Room Makeover." This year's recipient was Washburn High School in Minneapolis, MN.
As part of their prize, the school was given Zildjian cymbals for their music room in addition to $30,000 in other musical equipment and prizes. Zildjian has always believed in and supported musical education and this only solidifies our commitment.
Timohty Martin, the school's music teacher, won the contest with a submitted essay highlight his school's need for support. In the essay, Timothy is quoted as saying "having students feel they believe in themselves as musicians transfers to how they perform in all of their subjects." We couldn't aggree with you more, Timothy.
