Sports Illustrated Features the US Army All-American Marching Band

Video intraspective behind the best marching band in the country

Sports Illustrated’s website,, featured the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band with a video called, “Inside the Nation’s Top Marching Band.” Watch the video here.

The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band recognizes the top 125 high school senior marching musicians and color guard members from across the country. Musicians are chosen by the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band Selection Committee consisting of The National Association for Music Education (MENC), Drum Corps International (DCI), Head Director and Show Coordinator Nola Jones, and All American Games. The band uses Zildjian cymbals and Vic Firth Drumsticks and Mallets.

The video highlights the all-star marching band as it practices on field for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl week. Focusing on students from the band, we are taken into the demanding and grueling schedule of a top-notch marching band. Of course, the pay off is worth all of the work.
