The Arizona PAS 38th Annual Spring Days of Percussion were held on March 25-26, 2011 at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. In attendance were Zildjian artists Timothy Adams and Norman Weinberg. Tim Adams, chair of the percussion department at the University of Georgia, presented the first afternoon clinic on timpani performance. The stage was filled with four complete sets of timpani as he covered topics including mallet choice, articulation, musical interpretation, dampening, and tuning. Norman Weinberg, associate professor of percussion at the University of Arizona, was a clinician for the High School Percussion Ensemble and performed on the opening concert.
