Zildjian Marching/Drumset artist Bill Bachman was a clinician at Friendship High School for the West Texas Day of Percussion on March 5, 2011. Bill’s clinic involved his inspirational performances both on tenors and drumset.
He supplemented these performances with compelling motivational strategies for becoming a successful percussionist. Bill has a great way of using his improvisational skills on both drumset and tenors to demonstrate the importance of improvisation to students who normally play on marching drums.
To conclude the clinic, Bill spoke on the importance of cymbal selection to any percussionist’s setup and the choices Zildjian offers to each player.
