Recognizing the most popular artists and albums from the year 2012, The 40th American Music Awards was held last night (November 18) at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The nominees, announced on October 9, 2012 by Christina Aguilera, were based on a combination of music sales, radio and TV broadcast, internet streaming and video viewing, with the winners being chosen by public online vote.
Representing the epitome of pop culture, the show featured today’s biggest stars and music icons all on one stage. Musical performances by Zildjian Artists included: Usher with Aaron Spears, No Doubt with Adrian Young, Linkin Park with Rob Bourdon, Justin Bieber with Melly Baldwin, Christina Aguilera with Stanley Randolph, and Stevie Wonder with Teddy Campbell. Elaine Bradley also presented the award for Favorite Country Album with her band The Neon Trees.
