Zildjian-Vic Firth-Remo East Coast Artist Session

Bringing out New York's Biggest Names in Drumming

Zildjian hosted their annual East Coast Artist Session at The Cutting Room on November 14, 2012, in conjunction with Vic Firth and Remo, with a record turnout of more than 300 combined artists.

Zildjian staff included John DeChristopher- Vice President, Artist Relations & Event Marketing Worldwide, Paul Francis- Director of R&D/Quality, Sarah Hagan - Artist Relations Manager - East Coast, and Kirsten Matt - Artist Relations Manager – West Coast. Zildjian also held Artist Sessions in London in March and in Los Angeles in May of this year.

Zildjian artists in attendance included Bobby Allende, Cliff Almond, Matty Amendola, Thierry Arpino, Rosa Avila, Richie Barshay, Sergio Bellotti, Warren Benbow, Pablo Bencid, Jason Bittner, Otis Brown III, Sterling Campbell, Tommy Campbell, Vince Cherico, Mino Cinelu, Aaron Comess, Rick Considine, Sylvia Cuenca, Joe Corsello, Duduka Da Fonseca, Zach Danziger, Kenwood Dennard, Dennis Diken, Jay Dittamo, Marko Djordjevic, Charley Drayton, Joe Franco, Ben Gramm, Skip Hadden, Omar Hakim, Graham Hawthorne, Craig Haynes, Gerald Heyward, George Hooks, Ralph Irizarry, Victor Jones, Victor Lewis, Ray Marchica, Marko Marcinko, Jerry Marotta, Carter McLean, Mark McLean, Richie Morales, Valerie Naranjo, Ferenc Nemeth, Ulysses Owens, Chris Parker, Marc Quinones, Peter Retzlaff, Jhair Sahla, Jim Saporito, Jeff Simon, Chad Szeliga, David Uosikkinen, Gerardo Velez, Sam Wiley, and Stephen Wolf. Also in attendance were friends from Modern Drummer Magazine, Drumhead Magazine, Music Trades Magazine, Hudson Music and Drummers Collective.

Commented John DeChristopher, “Since our merger with Vic Firth it was logical for us to collaborate on the Artist Session. And, with the addition of Remo, we had the three biggest percussion brands joining forces to present the ultimate drummers hang. It brought together a wonderful, diverse group of artists, while still maintaining the feel of a fun and relaxed hang, which was our vision for the first Artist Session 10 years ago.”
