Machine Head embarked on their European tour last month with some of the dates in support of Metallica. MH’s Dave McClain has been giving us a behind the scenes look at what really happens out there, the good, the bad and the ugly. Keep checking back for more and click here to see the complete facebook photo album we’re putting together.

Entry 1:
We arrived in Prague a day early before we started the Metallica shows to shoot a video for the song "Darkness Within". The director literally searched thousands of miles before he found this amazing 13th century church with this amazing graveyard in the back. This graveyard comes complete with an amazingly creepy vibe and apparently its own resident ghosts! Did I mention I'll was buried alive here at around 11pm?!!

Stadium in Prague during line check. Metallica is doing the Black album in its entirety and bringing back the snake pit!! Its amazing doing shows with these guys. They can literally go ANYWHERE in the world and play stadiums! Always an honor when they ask us to be main support for them!

Entry 2:
This is my main kit for Europe/U.K. Shows. 1 of 3! Matte Black Textured Oak finish complete with Zildjian cymbals!

Entry 3:
About to hit the stage at Rock Am Ring. Sharing the stage today with Steel Panther, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Evanescence, and Motörhead!

Entry 4:
This is Rock Am Park Festival-Germany. The same line up as its sister festival Rock Am Ring.

An amazing day with lots of German rain which did not stop our awesome German fans from hanging around!

Entry 5:
Next up was Sonisphere Festival in Helsinki, Finland. Main support to Metallica (which does not suck, ever). We flew out of Germany on the day of the show and our flight out was cancelled!! Desperate to get there, we looked into chartering a direct flight which would've ended up costing 20,000 Euros! Luckily we were able to get on a different airline and make it to Helsinki with less than an hour before we were supposed to hit the stage!

Here's my secondary white sparkle Yamaha kit and spare set of Zildjian cymbals!
