This is a great crash. Very versatile and responsive. The 16" is a bit louder and higher pitched than the regular A Custom crashes. In terms of volume range, it can be soft and can be cutting. This is not a "loud-only" cymbal. It projects well but not as loud and noisy as the Z3's and other rock crashes, so it can still perfectly mix with the vocals and other instruments. Since it is medium thin, it is more durable than the regular thin-weight A Custom Crash. Highly recommended!
