I've been playing one of these for 4 years now. The low-mid pitch of this cymbal means that it makes a beautiful mellow crash with a medium hit, and it's not overly piercing on a hard hit. My other 3 crashes are 1) 19" A Custom Medium, 2) 18" Z Custom Rock, and 3) 20" Z Custom Medium. This 17" crash blends very well with my setup, providing a shorter decay crash that's not overly bright. 5 stars from me.
