22" K Constantinople Medium Thin Ride, High

Drumset Cymbals / Cast Bronze Cymbals / K Constantinople Series

Plenty of give, texture and "crashability." Combination of top articulation and bottom spread provides excellent stick articulation. Higher in pitch.

K Constantinople cymbals speak with the dark warm sound associated with Zildjian cymbals made in Turkey in the first half of the 20th Century. "Old Ks" first resurfaced during the 1950s and 1960s in set-ups of bebop era vanguard drummers like Elvin Jones.

K Constantinoples are hand-lathed by skilled artisans using old-style cutting tools. Pits and other surface impurities, that modern finishing processes remove, are retained, preserving the original tonal quality.

This is a great sounding Cymbal ... I used to have a 20" medium Ride and a 22" light Ride. The medium was good, but didn't have enough spread for crashing, and the playing surface was too hard for my personal taste. The light ride however had a softer bouncy feel and was great for crashing on, but was too low in pitch to be distinguished in the overall music (being as I'm not playing these Cymbals in a traditional Jazz setting) so I would end-up overplaying the cymbal just to be heard. This Cymbal is a great combination of the two, because it has the wash and overtones I'm looking for as well as a higher pitch, while still retaining the famous "Tah" sound associated with K Constantinople's
