“I've been playing since I could hold a spoon, mostly on pots and pans and sofa arms; I didn't get to play a real drumset until I was 19, and in those days could only dream of hearing a Zildjian never mind owning one. My first was a 20" Medium Ride that cost me £50, second hand, and it took me 6 months to save that money...good old, bad old days.
That was 1980 and since then I've played all over the world with Van Morrisson, Moving Hearts, the Russian band Akvarium, The Blue Nile and Boyzone. I treasure my Zildjian's..They're individual, pure gold and beyond value. They make me sound like me.”
