Serafino was born in Sicily, Italy and has been living in Switzerland for the past twenty years. Although he began playing drums at the age of the thirteen, he started taking lessons in his early twenties. He has been the drummer for Dreamshade since 2009, and has had the opportunity to play at many huge festivals and tour the world.
