Takao Sekiguchi, a Japanese pop music professional studio drummer adds his groovy and passionate style to every project. He was born on March 15, 1987 in Saitama, a suburb of Tokyo in Japan. Sekiguchi started learning drums by himself at the age of 15, and formed a rock band with his friends and participated various music competitions. In 2006, his band took part in TEENS' MUSIC FESTIVAL organized by YAMAHA MUSIC FOUNDATION and was well received by music companies. Since 2011, Sekiguchi started to associate with various Japanese pop music artists as a studio drummer. In 2014, he joined Smash Room Co. Ltd., one of Japan's leading pop music agencies. He has become very popular drummer among Japanese pop musicians, and played drum at various big music events such as “COUNTDOWN JAPAN 15/16 (number of audience: approx. 0.1 million people)” organized by rockin’ on Japan and “Tokyo Girls Collection 2016”. In the meantime, he began teaching drums to semi-pro and amateur drummers at Smash Room School. He devotes his life to play drums to touch as many audience's hearts as possible.
