Jonas Wilms studied at the renowned ArtEZ Conservatory and continues studying for his Master of Music at the Messiaen Acedemy, both located in Enschede, The Netherlands. Yet Jonas has already performed with many big names: Peter Beets, Linley Marthe (ex-Joe Zawinul Syndikate), Mark Nightingale (Robbie Williams, Spice Girls), Nippy Noya, Cosmo Klein, Anna-Maria Zimmermann and many more. His rock steady and technically elaborated drumming always incorporates the spirit of jazz, as well as the energy of rock and hip hop. His great versatility can be measured by the number of genres he already has played. Classical music, dixieland, swing, soul, hip hop, funk, top 40 pop, emo, new metal, fusion and modern jazz have been on Jonas’ playlist through the past 20 years. Jonas lives in Dortmund, West Germany. He speaks German, English and Dutch.
