The name "Zildjian" means "son of cymbal maker” in Armenian which was given to Avedis I by the sultan of Turkey.   • Rolling Mill Assistant
    We need an individual to fill a 2nd shift position. The hours are Tuesday through Friday - 10 hours (3PM -1AM). Perform Rolling Mill duties including loading castings, pick red-hot castings off of tray with short rake, separate and pass over to rolling mill."

    The ideal candidate will have:
    - High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience in an industrial, production manufacturing environment.
    - Must be a team player, good troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
    - Cross training capability and work in a fast paced environment.
    - Dependable and proven record of safety.
    - Able to handle a broad range of tasks.
    - Have a commitment to quality.

  • Maintenance Machinist
    Zildjian, the global leader in cymbals and specialty percussion instruments, is looking for an ideal candidate to join its manufacturing operations team at the oldest family run business in the United States. Zildjian uses proprietary processes to create cutting-edge acoustic and electronic musical instruments that provide timeless inspiration for artistic expression. The position is based at the Zildjian factory headquarters in Norwell, MA:
    Position Summary: We need an individual to fill a first shift position. The hours are Monday - Friday 8 hours (7:00 AM -3:00 PM). This position reports to the Plant Engineer and will handle all around machinist functions, including fabrication of factory equipment parts. The ideal candidate will assist with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing equipment within the factory as well as any maintenance of the building and grounds. Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience. High School Diploma required. Associates degree or training from Vocational school preferred. "

    The ideal candidate will have:
    • Able to machine a wide variety of parts using general machine shop equipment.
    • Able to machine parts with close tolerances.
    • Routine machine and equipment maintenance and repair.
    • Must work from drawings and on self-made sketches.
    • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
    • Work independently, but interact with others regarding new ideas and advancements towards product and production improvements.
    • Able to design a part to replace an existing component or change their function.
    • Knowledge of materials and properties thereof to ensure the correct material to make with component and usage.
    • Maintain and perform established quality and quantity standards.
    • Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
    • Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
    • Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality and housekeeping.
    • Communicate maintenance situations from one shift to another, including Plant Engineer.
    • Familiar with OSHA safety practices.
    • Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision.
    • Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
    • Maintain daily production and other records as required.
    • Provide assistance to other team members as requested by team leader.
    • Perform other related duties as required or directed.
    • Work on continuous improvement projects as needed.
    • Notify team of needed extended repairs and or spare parts.
    • Completion of all pertinent maintenance paperwork.
    • Help out production team as needed.
