When I saw Ringo with the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, I knew that I wanted to be a drummer. I received a Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music. U.S. and international touring followed and included appearances on TV shows and music videos. Some of the artists that I have recorded, toured or played drums with include (Country) Trisha Yearwood, Clay Walker, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Darryl and Don Ellis Gatlin, Stella Parton, Johnny Russell (Jazz) Diane Marino Quartet, Mike Stern, Bill Watrous Big Band, Jaki Byard and The Apollo Stompers, The Phil Wilson Big Band, Fred Hersch (R&B) Clifford Curry, Ellis Hall, (Bluegrass) Rhonda Vincent (Prog) Black Orchid, Ancient Moon Orchestra.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Being challenged as a composer and a drummer is what inspires me the most. Making an effort to move past what I have already done in order to find new ways of expressing myself as a writer and a drummer is a source of endless joy and frustration. It isn't easy, but it is mightily rewarding!

Get off the smartphone - don't scroll your life away! Learn how to focus - practice keeping your attention on one thing for an extended period of time! Stay sober and clearheaded - no alcohol, no cigarettes, no drugs (marihuana is a drug)!!! Make your word count - don't be flaky! Get a thorough musical education; get a thorough overall education! Think for yourself, but do not hesitate to take good advice when needed!

12" Remix hats; 22" Bounce; 20" Renaissance; 20" A China with 13 rivets. The elements of this combo enable me to have a wide range of sounds, from dark and lush to defined and cutting. The overall result is a warm, round and supremely musical blend I can use in many situations. (Sometimes, the left side Bounce will be replaced by the 17" K Custom Crash. I also frequently use my 16' and 18" Constantinople crashes).
