Alex Battini De Barreiro

Independent

Being of Italian-Argentine origin of Spanish descent, my passion for Latin and Latin-Jazz dates back to my adolescence, so my musical studies have also been influenced by this. During my career as a musician, I have collaborated on a recording, video and / or live performance level, with pop and non-pop, national and international artists. Citing only some of them: Tullio De Piscopo, Roberto Vecchioni, Angelo Branduardi, Enzo Iannacci, Francesco Nuti, Marcella, Ornella Vanoni, Rosanna Fratello, Franco Simone, I Vianella, Iguazu Acoustic Trio and others: (Alex Acuna, Horacio El Negro Hernandez, Patrice Rushen, Otmaro Ruiz, Makoto Kuriya, Paul Jeffrey, AD. Al Coopley.

I have also worked in various television orchestras for broadcasts (RAI, Mediaset, Fininvest).

Didactically speaking, since 2005 I have been the key teacher of the Yamaha Drums Course Europe and I have been the owner and founder of the Orion Percussion Drums School since 1986.

  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

What inspires me most is the ancestral sound of cymbals and drums, the energy that can come out of them!

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

Always try to play what is in the soul! The music and the rhythm are a language of the gods. To play well with the heart, it means going beyond the horizon and reality!

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

My favorite cymbals are K Constantinople! Overall in Jazz!
