When I was kid all I could think about was playing the drums. Everyday I jumped off the bus, ran to my drum kit and played along to my favourite cassettes till my parents shut the lights on me. Chad Smith, Joey Kramer, Charlie Benante, Mike Bordin, Randy Castillo, John Bonham, Mitch Mitchell... They were my guys and I could play every groove and fill on those tapes forwards and backwards. On weekends I’d cart my kit over by bike to any friend’s place who’s parents would be out for the night.
