Nicolas Martynciow

Nicolas Martynciow was born in Saint-Etienne (France), 1964. In 1990, he graduated in the 1st Prize of both Percussion and Chamber Music of the Conservatoire National Suparieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in the class of Jacques Delacluse. Martynciow has been a percussion soloist in the Orchestre de Paris since 1995. As a composer, he directs a collection at Editions Garard Billaudot. His compositions include:

"Impressions", "Tchik", "Truc a Trac", "Pop & Mom" for snare drum.

"Parce que" for multipercussion.

"Head First" for drum set and piano.

"Zoo", "Sweat Staff", "La Festa per Due", "La New Festa", "Vai Touloun", "Go" for percussion ensemble.

"Boing & Bong" for drumset and cello...

From 2012 to 2018, Martynciow was professor of orchestral percussion in the Conservatoire National Suparieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He regularly gives masterclasses. Over 1500 copies of his method on to begin with percussion called "Tac Tic" (2 volumes) are sold each year.
