Myles Sargent

The Japanese House

Myles is a drummer, musical director, and playback engineer based in Brighton, UK. Growing up in Cornwall, he played locally in various bands and brass bands, cutting his teeth in a range of musical applications before moving to Brighton for university to study music. During his years at university, he began to specialize in the use of electronic drum triggers and Ableton Live to enhance the sound of his acoustic drums and stay true to an artist’s studio recording. Using this skill, he was able to shape a career in not only drumming but in many elements needed to form a successful live show.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

Of course, be a good player, but don't compare yourself too much to others. Be confident, carry yourself well and be an enjoyable person to have around.
