"Zodin" by Anders Åstrand
Featuring Anders Åstrand & Joseph Krygier
and the Ohio State University Percussion Ensemble
Zodin was written for Keith Aleo and the Avedis Zildjian Company as a way to introduce students to the many sound colors and playing techniques available with concert hand cymbals. The conga and drum set parts are improvised in this video, but you can also substitute written bass drum and snare drum parts if you wish. We hope that you'll consider downloading the ensemble and trying it out with your own students!
