Andy Gillmann is one of Europes most exciting drummers and teachers. He has played at numerous clinics, workshops and drummers meetings and he is extremely busy as a teacher, session player and author of DVDs and books. His musical approach ranges from rock-pop to jazz, latin and fusion.
He studied drums in Arnhem (NL) with Joop van Eerven and Rene Cremers. His virtuoso brush-playing has resulted in invitations to drum events around Europe. Actually, Andy promotes and tours his new project "FORSONICS" (www.forsonics.com). In 2014 he published the worlds first DVD dealing with the subject of the drum solo. "Create your Drum Solo" is a fascinating mixture of performance and teaching and is a huge pool of inspiration. He teaches at the "Drummers Institute" in Krefeld and at the "Institute for Music and Media" of the "Robert Schumann Music School " in Dusseldorf.
