In 1961 Bobby Elliott bought his first brand new 20 Avedis Zildjian in Manchester, England. It cost him 20. Two years later Bobby and fellow Hollies; Tony Hicks, Allan Clarke, Eric Haydock and Graham Nash entered Abbey Road studios. Throughout the 1960's and 70's they created dozens of pop masterpieces: Bus Stop, Carrie Anne, He Aint Heavy, Hes My Brother “ with Elton John on piano, Long Cool Woman In a Black Dress and The Air That I Breathe... the list goes on. The Hollies have never disbanded and six decades on, their two hour show still tours the world - as always driven by Bobby Elliotts powerhouse drumming. The Hollies were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in for their Impact on the Evolution, Development and Perpetuation of Rock and Roll.
